A Boston hospital is set to offer preferential care to patients based on race. The\u00a0proposed \u201cpilot initiative\u201d<\/a>\u00a0uses a \u201creparations framework\u201d that focuses on \u201cBlack and Latinx patients and community members\u201d and prioritizes their care.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The authors of the program insist that the Boston initiative be a \u201creplicable pilot program\u201d to be launched in hospitals across the country.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital hospital says it will offer \u201cpreferential care based on race\u201d and \u201crace-explicit interventions\u201d in an attempt to engage in an \u201cantiracist agenda for medicine\u201d based on critical race theory.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A Boston Review article titled \u201cAn Antiracist Agenda for Medicine\u201d lays out a plan from Brigham and Women\u2019s Hospital that implements a \u201creparations framework\u201d for distributing medical resources in order to \u201ccomprehensively confront structural racism.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
