August 18, 2017: I saw this story come up again today and simply decided to apply some very common logic to this actually happening. First off, it makes no difference to me one way or another whether the become an independent nation or not, OK with it either way. However, there is was very important obstacle that is not being mentioned in any of these exiting from the United States articles that I thought I would point out to you. Because basically they CANT secede and maintain business as usual without a very important resource that would remain in the United States if they depart.
