Overview
While we end November on a warm note here in the eastern US, there are changes unfolding across the Northern Hemisphere that will likely bring a widespread very cold air mass into the US next week. This cold air mass is first going to arrive in Alaska this upcoming weekend with some spots in that state plunging to 40 degrees below zero and way below normal for early December. After that, the cold air dives into the western US during the first half of next week and then it’ll likely blast into the eastern US late next week. In fact, by the time Saturday, December 10th rolls around, there may be colder-than-normal conditions all the way from Alaska to the southeastern US. Beyond that, it looks like this colder pattern will indeed have some staying power as we move deeper into the month of December.

Barack Obama is illegally rushing through a final set of executive actions in his final two months as President, despite the fact that Congress blocked his ability to pass any new laws or policies.
Federal agencies are pushing through new regulations on commodities speculation, air pollution from the oil industry, doctors’ Medicare drug payments and high-skilled immigrant workers, in order to cement Obama’s legacy. This is all despite the fact that Trump will probably reverse all new legislation created by the Obama administration.
Obama Stripped Of Power As Midnight Rule Relief Act Passes
Barack Obama has been stripped of the power to pass any new laws or impose new policies, as the Midnight Rule Relief Act passed on Thursday.
The bill, passed by a 240-179 majority, amends the Congressional Review Act to overturn in a single vote any regulations Obama attempts to put through in his final days in office.
Thehill.com reports:
Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) urged his colleagues on the floor Thursday morning to pass the legislation and tell the American people that lawmakers heard them on Election Day loud and clear.
.“The American people have said no to the continuance of the Obama administration’s policies,” he said.
“This bill guarantees that Congress can prevent any and all last-minute defiance of the people’s will by midnight regulations that stubbornly seem to entrench the last pieces of the administration’s bipartisan agenda.”
House Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep the Obama administration from enacting any new rules in its final days.

Republican Electors Launch Campaign To Deny Trump Presidency

“On December 19th you will cast your vote for the President of the United States. Is Donald Trump in an eminant degree endowed with the requisite qualifications?
“If your answer is no, then your constitutional duties allow you to become a faithless elector and vote your conscience. Electors can opt for a qualified Republican.”
They then explain how their plan to deny Trump the presidency will work:
“If 37 Republican electors exercise this option, the election if the President would move to the House of Representatives in January 2017. In the House there are reportedly more than 40 Republicans who also do not believe Donald Trump is fit for office.
“It is feasible a Republican endowed with the requisite qualifications could be elected.”
Even if this last-ditch attempt at denying Trump the presidency fails, Hamilton Electors claim that faithless electors will have fulfilled their constitutional duties and succeeded in sending a “no confidence message” to the Trump administration.
“Your actions would be a loud rebuke to his racist, misogynistic, and xenophobic rhetoric. You would be sending a blunt message to all the emboldened hate groups of America that their reprehensible ideology will not be tolerated in a pluralistic America.”
But wait for it, because they saved the key line for last:
“You will be educating the public about our indirect democracy and the original purpose of the electoral college.”
There’s the rub.
Hamilton Electors are urging electors to remind the peasants that they live in an indirect democracy – essentially a state where the oligarchy can overrule the people’s democratic choice by claiming it is for our own good.
In other words, electors have the chance to “educate” the peasants about their real place in society. If you vote against the establishment, the establishment will disregard your vote and install their own President.
