William Barr is stepping down as attorney general “before Christmas,” President Donald Trump wrote in a Twitter post on Dec. 14.
“Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family,” Trump wrote.
Trump said that Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, whom he described as “an outstanding person,” will become the acting attorney general after Barr departs the administration.
“Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General,” Trump wrote. “Thank you to all!”
Trump also posted a letter from Barr, who was appointed by Trump in 2019, who said he will be now “wrapping up a few important matters” in the Department of Justice (DOJ). The letter details how the DOJ is continuing to look into allegations of voter fraud during the Nov. 3 election.
“I am greatly honored that you called on me to serve your administration and the American people once again as attorney general,” Barr added.
In recent weeks, Trump has signaled that he was disappointed with Barr’s performance after the DOJ said it wasn’t able to find evidence of widespread election fraud. Barr told The Associated Press in late November that “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.”
The DOJ later attempted to clarify his remarks, saying that numerous news outlets published incorrect or misleading reports.
The president had also expressed his displeasure with how Barr handled probes into the origin of the probe into Trump’s campaign. Barr had appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to look into these investigations, and so far, only one FBI official, Kevin Clinesmith, was indicted and convicted.
Trump on Dec. 3 told reporters that the DOJ and Barr haven’t “looked very hard” into allegations of voter fraud or irregularities.
“When he looks he’ll see the kind of evidence that right now you are seeing in the Georgia Senate,” Trump said, referring to hearings in the state on alleged fraud and irregularities. “He hasn’t done anything yet,” he said at the time.
When he was asked about Barr’s job status, the president told reporters to “ask me that in a number of weeks from now.”
Barr struck an optimistic tone in his letter. He noted that Trump was able to deal with “baseless accusations” that his 2016 campaign colluded with Russia.
“Few could have weathered these attacks,” Barr said, “much less forge ahead with a positive program for the country.”
“The nadir of this campaign was the effort to cripple, if not oust, your administration with the frenzied” Russia accusations, he said.
Barr also touted Trump’s record in dealing with the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) economic exploits as well as the president’s actions against Mexican drug cartels.

Republican electors in four states said on Dec. 14 that they would cast their procedural votes for President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, the latest update contesting the results of the 2020 election.
Republican electors in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona all said they voted for Trump. It comes as their states formally appointed Democratic electors who voted for Democrat Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.).
The Pennsylvania GOP said in a news release that electors met in Harrisburg to “cast a conditional vote” for Trump and Pence “at the request of the Trump campaign.” Their vote comes as Democratic electors voted in the Pennsylvania Electoral College for Biden and Harris (D-Calif.).
The Pennsylvania GOP cited the 1960 presidential election between Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy, who would become the eventual winner. “We took this procedural vote to preserve any legal claims that may be preserved going forward,” said Pennsylvania Trump campaign chairman Bernie Comfort in a news release.
In Georgia, David Shafer, the chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, said that electors made their move today because the “President’s lawsuit contesting the Georgia election is still pending.”
“The Republican nominees for Presidential Elector met today at noon at the State Capitol today and cast their votes for President and Vice President,” Shafer said in a Twitter post. “Had we not meet today and cast our votes, the President’s pending election contest would have been effectively mooted. Our action today preserves his rights under Georgia law.”
The same thing was done in Nevada, with the state’s Republican electors casting their vote for Trump and Pence. In a Twitter post by the Nevada Republican party, they stated “History made today.”
And Arizona’s Republican presidential electors also voted for Trump and Pence, according to the state’s GOP party.
The Electoral College votes are cast on Dec. 14 before they are counted on Jan. 6 during the Joint Session of Congress when the House of Representatives and Senate meet.
After states have completed their vote counts and gathered the official results, “the U.S. Code (3 U.S.C. §6) requires the state governors to prepare, ‘as soon as practicable,’ documents known as Certificates of Ascertainment of the vote.”
“The certificates must list the names of the electors chosen by the voters and the number of votes received in the popular election results, also the names of all losing candidates for elector, and the number of votes they received,” according to the Congressional Research Service.
“Certificates of Ascertainment, which are often signed by state governors, must carry the seal of the state. One copy is forwarded to the Archivist of the United States while six duplicates of the Certificate of Ascertainment must be provided to the electors by December 14, the date on which they meet.”
According to the U.S. Code, when the House and Senate meet, they have to look into “all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates of the electoral votes.” Several Republican members of Congress have said they would attempt to object to the counting of the Electoral College votes for a state, which would then trigger a series of debates and votes.
White House adviser Stephen Miller told Fox News on Dec. 14 that alternate groups of electors were being chosen in several states, claiming that it would lead to Trump’s reelection.
“The only date in the Constitution is January 20. So we have more than enough time to right the wrong of this fraudulent election result and certify Donald Trump as the winner of the election,” Miller said on “Fox & Friends,” referring to Inauguration Day.

(Natural News) Is it safe for elderly people to get a Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine? Not according to Dr. Helen “Keipp” Talbot of Vanderbilt University, who was the lone “no” vote on a CDC advisory panel that ultimately decided to recommend the experimental jab for old folks.
Believe it or not, CNN recently gave Dr. Talbot a platform to express her concerns about the risks involved with giving COVID-19 vaccines to people who are frail and vulnerable. Since such folks have the highest risk of injury or death, is it really safe to jab them with something that could kill them?
Dr. Talbot is not so sure, and thus does not recommend that patients living in long-term care facilities especially get vaccinated, at least not until more is known about vaccine adverse effects.
“Odd woman out, I guess,” Dr. Talbot is quoted as saying to her colleagues. “I still struggle with this. This was not an easy vote.”
In the event that large numbers of long-term care residents suddenly start dying from the jab, public perception of its safety and effectiveness would be tarnished, she worries. So it is not that Dr. Talbot opposes the vaccine, per se, but rather that she does not want people to become scared of it if mass deaths occur.
For this reason, some are calling on healthier people to receive the shot first. If it appears as though the vaccines are safe and effective in people who are young and vibrant, then those who are old and frail will be more likely to join them in rolling up their sleeves.

COVID-19 vaccines have never been tested in the most at-risk old people
To be clear, neither CNN nor Dr. Talbot appear to be concerned about the actual safety of old people. What they care about is the optics of COVID-19 vaccination in terms of safety and effectiveness.
If non-elderly people see elderly people dying in droves from the jab, the non-elderly will be much less likely to get vaccinated, in other words.
“Since they haven’t been studied in people in those populations, we don’t know how well the vaccine will work for them,” says Dr. Kelly Moore, associate director of the Immunization Action Coalition, a group that supports frontline workers who will be tasked with administering COVID-19 vaccines.
“We know that most vaccines don’t work nearly as well in a frail elderly person as they would in someone who is fit and vigorous, even if they happen to be the same age.”
Dr. Moore went on to admit that there is no way to truly know if COVID-19 vaccines will benefit the elderly in any way because those at the highest risk were not included in the test groups.
“There’s a question about the direct benefit of the vaccine, if given to people who live in those facilities, because we haven’t studied how well it works in that group yet.”
So much for science. At the same time, anyone who dies following vaccination for COVID-19 probably died from something else, according to Dr. Moore, especially if they were already nearing the end of their lives.
“One of the things we want to make sure people understand is that they should not be unnecessarily alarmed if there are reports, once we start vaccinating, of someone or multiple people dying within a day or two of their vaccination who are residents of a long-term care facility,” Dr. Moore contends.
“That would be something we would expect, as a normal occurrence, because people die frequently in nursing homes.”
